Steve and Troy are a dialed-in production team built on trust, experience, and complementary skill sets to deliver on each client’s artistic vision. Steve leads the charge on creative direction, production, and capturing great performances in the studio, while Troy takes the reins in the DAW—delivering mixes and masters rooted in expertise and modern production techniques.

Steve Jackson (a.k.a. Shonny Jones)
Chicago producer and engineer Steve Jackson blends a “less is more” old-school approach to recording with today’s production tools—think Motown, jazz-tinged grooves, psychedelia, library music reminiscent of Axelrod, and 90s/modern R&B and hip-hop, combined with modern clarity.

Troy Cruz
Troy Cruz is a Chicago-based recording and mixing engineer who’s been shaping his client’s ideas through sound since 2019. With a master’s in sound from Northwestern, he helps musicians and filmmakers bring their visions to life.
A whiz on the mixing board and in the DAW, he leans into modern production techniques while staying fully adaptable to each client’s vision, having worked across various studios and genres.
